What did you think a cruise
would be like?
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect and was a little apprehensive due to fact I have a fear of water.  I was under the impression that a cruise was a more luxurious than other types of holiday as I had spoken to a few people that had been cruising and had always received positive feedback.
Why did you decide to go on a cruise and what are your thoughts post cruise?
I decided to go on a cruise as a friend suggested this as a special birthday trip. I was very pleasantly surprised, despite the fear of water I was not at any point fearful and felt very safe. I was concerned about the movement of the ship but this was minimal and did not affect me in any way. I found the ship to be extremely luxurious and was very impressed with the interior layout and thought the furnishings were modern and elegant. The cabin was lovely, spacious and well equipped. The amenities were fabulous, a particular favourite of mine was the hot tub which had panoramic views of the ocean. The food and drink was exceptional, do not have a single complaint. So many good venues to choose from and every one of them had top quality dishes and so much choice. Also the variety of cocktails and alcohol was great.  The specialty restaurants had such a classy feel to them, the food was fantastic and the service  was amazing. The staff were some of the best I have encountered, so friendly, helpful and courteous. And lastly the entertainment was first class, so many things to do and shows to go and see day or night. Something for everyone from a quiz to bingo, comedians, singers , dancers, entertainers and game shows. The sail away party was one of my favourites.
Why did you like it and would
you recommend?
I loved the cruise as it enables you to visit a variety of destinations, provides relaxation and convenience and you do not have to worry about finding things to do or looking for accommodation. I also loved the fact that you have a view of stunning ocean landscapes and sunsets, explore local history on excursions and meet new people. The service is exceptional, the fine dining options are fantastic and had amazing on board entertainment. I felt the facilities were luxurious and the staterooms very spacious.
I would definitely recommend a cruise, and would absolutely recommend Scotland’s Cruise Centre. All I did was say where & when I wanted to go and Nicola done the rest - Amazing!
